STRATEGIC DIRECTOR
Konda (She/Her) is a social entrepreneur, eco-spiritual thought leader and justice advocate working at the intersection of social and financial justice and planetary healing. She is passionate about reversing the harm the extractive economy has had on all living systems. Her restorative work with Black urban entrepreneurs and rural farmers is at the heart of her theory of change. She is driven by her desire to witness a world that is environmentally regenerative, spiritually fulfilling, socially just and economically equitable.
Konda was the founding CEO and co-founder of Impact Hub Oakland, an award winning co-working space where entrepreneurs grow and thrive. She is the co-founder of COCAP, an annual conference in Oakland, CA with a focus on closing the racial wealth gap and promoting restorative economics. She was the co-founder and co-facilitator of The Well-Being In Business Lab - Oakland, a cross-sector initiative guiding prominent business owners, non-profit leaders and government officials to a deeper level of intention within themselves and their businesses. As the Strategic Director of RUNWAY, she works to facilitate healthy and mutually respectful relationships between entrepreneurs, funders and community stakeholders.
Konda is passionately working as the Co-founder and President of Jubilee Justice and Potlikker Capital, a platform for racial and ecological healing through regenerative farming practices, reparations and repair, transformational learning, and next economy financing.
Konda has earned a Permaculture Design Certificate, is a certified Mindfulness teacher from Spirit Rock Meditation Center and Kripalu certified yoga teacher. Konda is most proud of being chosen to give the commencement address at Presidio Graduate School and receiving an Honorary MBA. She has spoken at Bioneers, SOCAP, Wisdom 2.0 and many other conferences and venues. In 2018 Konda was selected as one of the 35 World-Changing Women in Conscious Business. Konda sits on the Board of Trustees at Mills College in Oakland, On Being with Krista Tippett, Lion’s Roar Magazine and Paul Hawken’s Regeneration.
In her quiet moments, Konda can be found sipping on a cuppa decaf oat milk latte, cooking a delicious vegan meal or working in her luscious garden to the tune of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On”. Konda is deeply inspired by Indian author/activist Arundhati Roy who once said:
“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
